Troubled imaging AI company files for chapter 11 bankruptcy

A cardiology practice in Florida and several of its cardiologists have agreed to pay $2 million to resolve allegations that they violated the False Claims Act and committed fraud. As a part of the agreement, there has been no determination of liability.

The publicly traded, Deerfield, Illinois-based vendor plans to pursue an auction of its assets through court proceedings, leaders announced Tuesday.

The FDA's approval of colchicine, which is marketed and sold under the name Lodoco, is expected to have a big impact on cardiac care and outcomes.
