American Heart Association (AHA)

The American Heart Association (AHA) funds cardiovascular medical research, educates consumers on healthy living and fosters appropriate cardiac care in an effort to reduce disability and deaths caused by cardiovascular disease and stroke. Researchers said they were surprised to learn that "no pain, no gain" was so accurate for patients with peripheral artery disease (PAD). A news study found patients should push past the pain because it improves outcomes.
