The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has cracked down on a health services provider accused of selling unqualified, sham health insurance plans through deceptive marketing and sales tactics. 

The deal brings together one of the biggest pharmaceutical companies in the United States with a biopharmaceutical company specializing in blood disorders.

News of the deal comes after reports that Signify Health is exploring strategic alternatives, including a sale.

Mount Sinai Health System has extended its partnership with home-based care provider Contessa to offer a full continuum of home-based services as Mount Sinai at Home.

The partnership aims to assist independent primary care physicians transition to value-based care by giving primary care providers in Elevance Health’s network to access Adelade’s suite of technology and local, in-person services.

Ochsner gains seven hospitals under the deal, and the combined entity will be called Ochsner Rush Health.
