STEMI mortality remains a primary concern among healthcare providers, and a new study in the American Journal of Cardiology suggests that long-term outcomes are much better if the patient undergoes primary PCI. 

Pfizer, the drug manufacturer with one of just a few approved COVID-19 vaccines on the market, is set to pull in more than $15 billion in revenue in 2021 from its entrant, according to S&P Global.

About 4 in 10 healthcare workers haven’t gotten a COVID-19 vaccine yet, and more than 1 in 3 say they aren’t confident the vaccines have been thoroughly tested for safety and effectiveness, according to a new poll from The Washington Post and the Kaiser Family Foundation. 

Researchers have found a connection between eating ultra-processed foods—think sweetened breakfast cereals, chicken nuggets or hotdogs—and numerous significant conditions. The study was published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.

Researchers compared more than 4,000 children with a confirmed gender dysphoria diagnosis with more than 16,000 children with no such diagnosis. The team believes this was the first analysis of its kind in the United States. 

Researchers tracked data from more than 1,000 patients who received care from 2014 to 2020. 

COVID-19 carries a higher stroke risk than similar infectious conditions, the authors explained, making it especially important to seek out a vaccine as soon as possible.

The key appears to be the positive impact these products can make on an individual’s gut microbiota.
