FDA warns against use of unauthorized smartwatch, smart ring devices to measure blood glucose levels

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a new warning against the use of watches, rings and other devices that claim to measure blood glucose levels without piercing the skin. These unapproved devices come from “dozens of companies” and are sold “under multiple brand names.”

Any devices that claim to make blood glucose measurements without piercing the user's skin are associated with a heightened risk of error, the agency said.

Radiology Partners raises $720M in ‘growth equity’—more than double its target

money business cash flow dollar. Kingsway Financial Services, a Chicago-based holding company with subsidiaries in several industries, has acquired New Jersey-based Digital Diagnostics Imaging (DDI) for $11 million. The transaction was funded with $5.4 million in cash and $5.6 million in debt financing.

The nation’s largest radiology practice also has closed previously announced debt restructuring transactions that provide RP with greater financial flexibility.

Philips launches new light-based, radiation-free cath lab imaging system
