Radiology Associates of Albuquerque was founded 45 years ago and boasts relationships across nine hospitals.

Absent congressional action, the American College of Radiology said such reductions would have threatened access to imaging and deepened disparities. 

“A pandemic is not the time to be cutting access to doctors for patients on Medicare,” said Rep. Kim Schrier, MD, D-Wash. 

The measure to extend funding through Feb. 18 does not include any of the changes championed by physicians. 

The initiative pairs providers with Federally Qualified Health Centers, donating radiology services and gaining tax advantage in exchange.
