The American Hospital Association (AHA) is warning U.S. hospitals about possible cyber attacks from Russia on U.S. healthcare IT systems due to rising tensions over the war in Ukraine.

Radiologists praised the ruling while AHIP, the nation's largest health insurance lobbying group, called it "misguided." 

The financing was led by Concord Health Partners in conjunction with AlbaCore Capital Group and London-based Hambro Perks.

The blockbuster $13 billion deal has been in the works for more than a year, with healthcare giant UHG hoping to fold change into its Optum business line. 

Part of the AHA's goals includes addressing workforce and staffing shortages and enhancing the public's trust and confidence in health systems.

Those treated in settings with better nurse-physician teamwork, among other factors, had a 16% lower chance of being admitted to the ICU.

The American Hospital Association praised the court's decision to allow the mandate on federally funded healthcare facilities and said it will work to balance potential workforce shortages.

The feds are making a large push to expand testing, setting up new sites across the U.S. and sending 500 million free kits to Americans beginning Jan. 1.
