ACR and the Society of Thoracic Surgeons said they will work with the feds, medical providers and patients to implement new screening recommendations.

The deal, originally announced back in July 2021, valued the new entity at approximately $2.4 billion.

“Our strategy work will guide the ACR as our healthcare system undergoes rapid changes in regulation, in payment, in types of care delivery, as well as from a host of other challenging factors,” a member of the planning committee said.

The move will help Press Ganey, a healthcare-focused patient experience company, grow its technology offerings and expand globally.

The American College of Radiology, and similar groups representing emergency docs and anesthesiologists, want a rapid resolution with the law already taking effect Jan. 1.
