That’s according to new guidance, issued by the Radiological Society of North America Monday to help docs deal with returning to post-COVID normalcy. 

As dental and oral-surgery offices begin to reopen in the U.S. on a state-by-state basis, oral-radiology experts in hard-hit Iran are offering tips from their experience with COVID-19.

Practices are typically required to submit payment requests to insurers within 90 to 180 days, however, given widespread economic challenges, industry advocates are asking for a relief from such cumbersome restraints. 

Scientists with Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and Stanford recently discovered this “troubling” trend by analyzing care data from nearly every state.

A similar drop was seen in the company’s anesthesia division, with leaders estimating a year-over-year revenue decrease of upward of 35%. 

Pennsylvania is one of the latest to join the movement, with Gov. Tom Wolf signing an order Wednesday granting providers civil immunity for “good faith actions” taken during the pandemic.

The research and advisory firm says these are the areas likely to yield the biggest bang for the AI buck when it comes to making better decisions on how to deal with the pandemic.

Under the Hazard Pay for the Front Lines During Health Emergencies Act, radiologists, technologists and others would receive 25% in additional salary to help them sustain through the crisis.
