The 37-year-old pediatric cardiologist has already been fired from his position in the Our Lady of the Lake health system. Investigators have said they found no evidence that his patients were involved in any of the explicit materials. 

Defendants in the case allegedly defrauded CMS for millions of dollars that were spent on luxury vehicles, real estate and more.

He was charged with three counts of healthcare fraud for an alleged scheme involving office visits that never occurred.

The NHS employee is now being investigated for 13 different crimes, including the murder of a 75-year-old stroke patient. 

The cardiologist was also ordered to pay more than $500,000 in restitution, according to an official statement from the U.S. Attorney's Office.

The Department of Justice claims that Mori, Bean and Brooks fraudulently billed government payment programs for the interpretation work between 2012 and 2019.
