Mammography practices need to continue supporting pre-Digital Age channels for patients to schedule appointments, participate in community health programs and receive annual screening exams in mobile settings close to where they live. 

The American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association have collaborated on a new update to the much-discussed 2021 chest pain guidelines. The American College of Emergency Physicians and Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions also contributed to the document.

A new consensus statement from the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography emphasized the increasing importance of CCTA among interventional cardiologists. It is no longer seen as “a mere diagnostic tool," the group observed. 

The funding, which is through the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), includes $98.9 million that will help ensure consumers can navigate health insurance enrollment through the Marketplace, Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).

The authors of the study hypothesized that they would find malalignments due to the nature of how the 2017 Fleischner Society guidelines, in that they do not pertain to incidentally detected nodules.
