The recall includes specific lots of five different medical devices used to treat stroke and other neurovascular diseases.

Currently, such rights—to a fair process before termination, restriction or reduction of professional activities—are not offered to all physicians. 

The new recall impacts more than 85,000 devices. If users update their iPhone app as recommended, however, they can continue using the insulin pump as directed. 

The physician's attorneys say that he is being "over punished" for his actions.
