CMS proposes 2.1% payment increase for MA plans in 2024

Medicare money payment physician. The CardioVascular Coalition and Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions have both issued new statements highlighting their issues with the 2024 MPFS proposed rule. 

The plan, if finalized, increases payments for MA plans by 2.09%, or 1.03% after adjusting for star rating changes.

Radiologists once again rank among the most burned-out specialists

overnight night shift attending radiologist burnout. A new policy statement from the American College of Cardiology highlights the importance of career flexibility—including the ability to change hours or work responsibilities when necessary—for cardiologists of all ages. 

Concerningly, nearly 80% of physicians described their burnout as “moderate to severe,” and one in five respondents reported self-medicating with alcohol to cope with their depressive symptoms.

Cigna sues CVS over executive’s move
