Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Association supports study of potential treatment for nonbstructive HCM

Imbria Pharmaceuticals announced a partnership with the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Association (HCMA) to help expedite patient recruitment for its ongoing FORTITUDE-HCM study looking at the first drug to treat symptomatic nonobstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (nHCM). The debilitating disease currently has no approved treatments.

No medications are currently approved for the treatment of nonobstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Could a new drug from Imbria Pharmaceuticals be the first?

American College of Radiology names annual Gold Medal Award winners

Gold Medal award winner. KLAS Research released its 2024 list of the best radiology vendors on Wednesday, with Sweden-based vendor Sectra again leading the picture archiving and communication system category. Others topping the list in imaging include Agfa, Fujifilm, Nuance and 3M.

ACR’s board has chosen Hedvig Hricak, MD, PhD, and Debra Monticciolo, MD, as its next honorees, who will be recognized at the organization’s 2026 annual meeting in May.
