Getinge announced its planned to acquire 100% of the equity interest in Talis Clinical, which provides high-acuity IT software applications for critical care, cardiac surgery/perfusion and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation.

The acquisition balloons the private equity-backed provider group's roster to 350 radiologists across 180 outpatient imaging centers in 15 states.

The new guideline suggests prescribing opioid-naïve patients with acute, subacute, or chronic pain the "lowest dosage to achieve expected effects."

Trimetazidine, typically prescribed for treating angina, is associated with increasing blood flow and improving endurance.

While 96% of the population is located within 60 minutes of an ED with any acute stroke expertise, many smaller, critical access hospitals in rural regions still are without these lifesaving services.

ACR and the Society of Thoracic Surgeons said they will work with the feds, medical providers and patients to implement new screening recommendations.

The deal, originally announced back in July 2021, valued the new entity at approximately $2.4 billion.
