KLAS names lifeIMAGE "Category Leader" for Image Exchange
Newton, Mass.—January 28, 2013—lifeIMAGE announced today that it has been named the “Category Leader” for Image Exchange in “2013 Best in KLAS Awards: Software & Services,” January 2014, a new report due out later this week*. lifeIMAGE earned a score of 89.2, the highest in the report’s newly incorporated industry segment.
lifeIMAGE is the nation’s largest and most utilized network for medical image sharing. Its services allow physicians, hospitals and patients to securely connect and exchange images, anywhere. It provides simple workflow for managing exams from discs, receiving exams electronically from any outside source, integrating outside images with local systems such as PACS and EMR, and sharing exams with outside physicians and patients.
The company’s KLAS ranking and “Category Leader” designation are based exclusively on customer feedback in the areas of sales and contracting, implementation and training, functionality and upgrades, and general performance. lifeIMAGE was the only image exchange vendor evaluated to achieve the highest level of “KLAS Konfidence” in its score, meaning more than thirty unique healthcare organizations provided feedback on their use of its products.
In addition to rating the company’s performance, providers also gave KLAS anecdotal feedback on workingwith lifeIMAGE:
“lifeIMAGE's support is awesome. They really seem to pay attention to their clients, which is really great. We have been able to roll lifeIMAGE out to over 2,000 clinical staff members with fifteen minute training segments. It is that effective and straightforward.” – Manager (Collected about lifeIMAGE by KLAS in November 2013 © KLAS Enterprises, LLC. All rights reserved. www.KLASresearch.com)
“The lifeIMAGE solution reduces the amount of imaging patients get when they hit our institution, and we have fewer repeated images. Patient treatment is quicker because we already have images when the patients get here. There is a more efficient process for the ingestion of outside studies, without a doubt. The technical staff members like working with lifeIMAGE much better than our previous system. It is faster, and people have been happy with it.” – VP/Other Executive (Collected about lifeIMAGE by KLAS in April 2013 © KLAS Enterprises, LLC. In “Image Exchange: A Close Look at lifeIMAGE,” June 2013, a separate KLAS report issued last year**, 94 percent of lifeIMAGE customers indicated they would purchase its services again, 97 percent said the company’s solution is part of their long-term plans, and 97 percent felt lifeIMAGE keeps its promises.
“It is immensely gratifying for all of us at lifeIMAGE, and for our customers and partners I’m sure, to be the first-ever category leader for medical image exchange in this prestigious industry report,” said Hamid Tabatabaie, CEO and co-founder of lifeIMAGE. “We believe image exchange has evolved from an early adopter stage, and its clinical and financial value has recently made it a mainstream topic for providers and payers. We help hospitals improve patient care while experiencing positive return on their investment in this area, and we feel that KLAS reports have always been invaluable in helping create more awareness.”
