Less than two years after closing its patient care clinics and selling its telehealth services, Walmart is re-entering healthcare with a new platform to match patients with virtual providers.

The U.S. Department of Justice has formally accused Done Global of unlawfully distributing ADHD medications without medical need, using a subscription program and targeted advertising to find patients searching for drugs. The company is also accused of filing false medical claims to Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance. Done's founder and CEO was convicted last month on related charges and awaits sentencing. 

In total, 22 facilities will benefit from the money, provided by the Statewide Health Care Facility Transformation Program. Projects include cybersecurity upgrades and telehealth implementation, in addition to EHR upgrades.

The financial terms were not disclosed. The acquisition adds 400 new payers, health systems and employers who offer virtual care benefits to Fabric's portfolio.
