FDA clears Ziehm Vision RFD for pediatric imaging

ORLANDO, FL—February 5, 2014. Ziehm Imaging, the world leader in C-arm interventional imaging, announced FDA clearance to market its new generation Ziehm Vision RFD C-arm for pediatric and other interventional operating room procedures in the United States. The Ziehm Vision RFD C-arm, which offers fully motorized movement on four axes, maximizes image quality while minimizing procedural dose. It was cleared for a full range of image procedures including specific intended uses in pediatric imaging.

“To my knowledge, the Ziehm Vision RFD is the only C-arm imager cleared for pediatric procedures,” said Nelson Mendes, CEO of Ziehm Imaging, Inc. “Although our devices are cleared for a full range of interventional procedures, pediatric use is validation of our innovative technology and ongoing efforts to provide the best possible image at the lowest effective level of radiation.” With over 40 years in the market, Ziehm Imaging is the world C-arm leader, supplying 65 percent of the market in Europe. The company serves the United States from its headquarters in Orlando, Fla., and covers the entire continental USA with a full direct service organization providing 24/7 customer assistance.
