Just six months after Haven piloted its initial health-benefits plans, Atul Gawande, MD, MPH, is relinquishing his role as the fledgling organization’s CEO.

The nation’s fourth largest health insurer recently revealed its decision in a letter sent to American College of Radiology leadership. 

The agency's greenlight offers clinicians a possible first-line tool to gather chest images from patients infected with the virus.

The Nashville-based firm—which leads a team of more than 900 radiologists—said its new program includes coaching, stress management, and expert-led video conference calls. 

Mavacamten has demonstrated value as a treatment option for patients with obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), according to results from the EXPLORER-HCM phase III clinical trial.

Abnormalities were most commonly seen in sicker patients with the virus who were also admitted to the intensive care unit, according to recent research.

The aim of the collaboration is to map out cardiac irregularities caused by the virus.

International medical imaging IT and cybersecurity company Sectra will install the radiology and breast imaging modules of its enterprise imaging solution at Mayfair Diagnostics’ facilities in Canada. 

The solution will support workflow optimization and increased reading efficiency across multiple geographic locations, thereby improving diagnostics and patient care.

President and CEO Howard Berger, MD, said the firm is seeing a rebound in imaging, as some states have started to lift restrictions to allow nonurgent procedures to resume.
